Plantsman with Innovative Planting Methods
I have always been fascinated by plants adaptability. Ever since I started growing plants myself, I have tried to understand what it is that makes a plant establishing in the specific growing conditions were it occurs in the wild. I have travelled to places with climates in some ways similar to what we have in Sweden, to see how plants grow in their natural environment. These trips, combined with my curiosity and my own growing experiences, have given me an understanding for what plants want – no matter how specific their needs are. I use my knowledge for the landscape design and plantings that I do in private gardens and public environments. Nature is always my greatest source of inspiration.
In my book Peter Korns Garden – Giving plants what they want I describe in detail my growing methods.
At the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Alnarp, I give lectures on growing conditions, creating habitats and naturalistic plantings.
Through courses and talks, my main mission is to inspire others to use nature as a role model.
